The Southwest Pipe Trades Association is affiliated with 13 United Association (UA) Local Unions covering jurisdiction in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. The region is seeing a building boom of new commercial and industrial construction, as well as new pipelines being built. Even more work is expected with the passage of the Infrastructure bill and CHIPs Act.
Now is the perfect time to take up a career in the pipe trades
Become a member of one of the SWPTA-affiliated Local Unions. Employment opportunities are plentiful, as the region is in the midst of a building boom and the Baby Boomer generation begins to retire.
Those seeking to either begin a new career in the industry or improve their standard of living by working for one of our affiliated contractors will reap the benefits of training funded by their employer. Pipe trades jobs allow individuals to earn a family-supporting wage and great fringe benefits, such as family-health insurance and retirement benefits like a 401k and pension.
